This is my first book that includes pregnancy, but it’s a very much intended and welcome pregnancy. Sloane agrees to be a surrogate for her brother and his partner. That said, I didn’t pull any punches in talking about how hard pregnancy and getting pregnant can be.

It’s also my first with outright LGBTQ+ representation. It’s always my intention to approach representation respectfully, and bring stories of primarily queer joy.

As always, my books are meant to be comforting and fluffy, but there are some things that could be hard for some readers.

Potential triggers in this story include:

  • Dirty talk with praise kink

  • Explicit sex scenes

  • Discussion of off-page LGBTQ discrimination and religious trauma

  • Spanking and light Dom/sub dynamics

  • Morning sickness/early pregnancy struggles

  • Brief discussion of difficulty conceiving

  • Pregnant sex

  • Workplace harassment, but with a happy ending
